Privacy

When you join and use the members area, the website keeps:

• your name, email address and, if you give it, your phone number;
• your profile photo, and the details and photo of your Jeep, if you add them;
• the events you sign up for, and anything you write when you do;
• your answers to club forms and surveys;
• which club emails you want, and a record of the emails we have sent you.

Your password is stored scrambled (hashed), so nobody can read it. For security, the website logs sign-ins and changes to accounts with your username and a scrambled form of your internet address.

Before approving your membership, the club's admins and moderators look for your name in the Clarksville Jeep Crew Facebook group, by hand. The website itself is not connected to Facebook and gets nothing from it.

Other approved members see your name, profile photo and Jeep, for example on the list of who is going to an event. Your email address and phone number are only seen by the club's admins and moderators, including the organizers of events you sign up for.

We do not sell or share your information. The website runs on Microsoft Azure in the United States, which also sends our emails. Videos in the knowledge base play from YouTube, Vimeo or Facebook, which may set their own cookies when you play one.

The website sets a cookie to keep you signed in. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.

We email you about your own account: confirming your address, password resets, and whether your membership is approved. Event and club news emails are up to you: turn them off in My account, or use the link at the bottom of any of them.

Sign in, go to My account and choose Delete my account. That removes your account, profile, photos, Jeep and event sign-ups straight away. Form answers you gave stay, no longer linked to you. Records of emails we sent you are removed within 120 days; the security log keeps your username.

If you cannot sign in, message one of the admins in the club's Facebook group and ask us to delete your account. We will do it and let you know.
